All I know, is that with Windows XP and the same hardware, this was never an issue. But even that's not perfect, because you have to make sure to point the notebook to the right script.Īll of our notebooks are Lenovo's, even my personal ones at home are, so I don't know if it's a Windows 7 driver issue. That script launches, waits 30 seconds, and then runs the appropriate logon script from the domain controller. In order to get them on the domain and cache the users credentials we've had to hard line them into the network first.after that, users can log in and function, but scripts won't run without a jury-rigged delayed script launcher that we've had to install on all our notebooks. None of our notebooks are able to connect to the wireless pre login. The benefits of sharing a pre-existing wireless internet connection are numerous. In this Instructable, I am using Windows 7 Enterprise. AND Windows 7 - As far as I am aware the windows 7 OS must be either Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate.

I've jumped on one foot while holding the notebooks upside down. Similar to my last instructable you will need: A pre-existing wireless internet connection. I've deleted every unnecessary wireless profile on every notebook in case the notebooks were just getting confused.

I've edited the registry to delay logon until there is a network connection (that made zero difference.windows ignores that setting all together). I've changed the profile types to "All users only".
